Lolita: From a shelter to the justice system

On January 2, 2021, I found a cancerous lump on my gorgeous 10-year-old Siberian Husky. Amid the pandemic, Lolita underwent two surgical procedures. Her injuries are linked to a popular flea and tick collar sold in the US by Elanco Animal Health, Inc. that has allegedly caused over 1,700 pet deaths in the US. Following an investigative story published by USA Today and the Midwest Center for Investigative Reporting, in Mach 2021 I filed a class-action lawsuit against Elanco, the producer of the Seresto collar. This and subsequent similar class-action lawsuits have been consolidated in Illinois by a federal judge.
